Word Salad
This project documented my cultures’ link with language. Translating idioms directly into the other language makes no sense without a broader knowledge of the culture's background, even if someone speaks the language. I used a combination of typefaces and imagery relative to both cultures in a publication, each language was facing one direction and so did the covers, not knowing which was the beginning or the end, that helped portray how confusing multiculturalism can be. |
